Tell Maggie Brooks to Stop Discriminating Against Same-Sex Couples!

Maggie Brooks has decided to play to her conservative base by challenging the Martinez ruling.

The judges in Martinez v County of Monroe Community College ruled that New York has to honor same-sex marriages from outside New York because New York honors all out of state marriages (including common law marriages) regardless of how New York defines marriages done within the state.

The ruling means that same-sex couples married in Massachusetts and Canada can come back to New York and enjoy the hundreds of legal rights that opposite-sex couples enjoy
