I am a grandmother. How can I/we help console, and get the immigrant children and their parents held by Trump’s heartless, non-democratic policy back together? There are US households besides my husband and I who would care for them as established democratic procedures regarding their flight from abuse and torture are investigated. Trump and his group of criminals must be impeached NOW!

My husband, Steven and I are Metro Justice members. Listened to the MoveOn phone message 6/10/18 about the terrible treatment of immigrants and their children who have been taken from them. “Trump’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents have torn babies from their mothers, run over, punched, and sexually abused children, and lost nearly 1,500 children and youth in their custody. They are unfit to be in charge of children.” June 14th is action day.

Will you have a protest rally here in Rochester or a bus going to Albany for the 4:30 PM rally? See https://actionnetwork.org/petitions/where-are-the-children?source=email& and http://map.familiesbelong.org/search.php

I am a member of the Peace and Social Action Committee of Rochester Friends Meeting. We are looking for information about any activity around having a Peace Contingent for the Memorial day Parade this year, 2018. I recall that last year the Peace contingent was band from the parade. I recently heard there is a Peace Parade in Geneva, NY on that day.

Although we continue to believe in the causes Metro Justice supports, we have moved out of state and have transferred our financial loyalty to our new local organizations. Please delete us from your mailing list since we’d rather see you spend your money on the good causes you support than on postage. Thanks. Current address: 19548 W 60th Ln, Golden, CO 80403

    Hi There,

My name is Sally and I am writing because as a former Manager of a care home, I learned how demanding and complex caregiving can be. While it can also be rewarding in itself, caregivers need all the help and support they can get.

Now I work as the Content Manager for a small senior care site and I felt it was important we create a full resource guide for caregivers. It covers 30 essential sources of information and support for all kinds of caregivers. I know you are busy, but you can check out the article here: https://www.senioradvisor.com/blog/2017/04/30-resources-to-help-caregivers/.

Recently, I came across metrojustice.org and having read http://www.metrojustice.org/elder_care_helpful_info, I feel this is a subject you would like to cover. I am therefore more than happy to write a brief introduction or summary for you to put on your website.

Please let me know what you think!

    Best Regards,

    Sally

At the New York Health meeting last night, Sue, who has been doing data entry of the “Vote” cards, said that I could inquire from Andrew about getting training in software that could be used to do that entry from home (with an internet connection). I work with data and would be glad to volunteer. What is the quickest way to get at it? Go ahead and text me if that’s the best way to answer this, but I prefer not to get a lot of texts in general. Thanks!

Is Metro Justice planning a “Thank you New York State!” event for Dec. 31 when the state’s minimum wage rises? Considering POTUS-elect’s nominee of Andrew Puzder for Secretary of Labor, we New Yorkers have a lot to be thankful for and can let the rest of the country – or at least our state lawmakers – know it. I don’t see anything on your Calendar page about this. Or are you planning to hold this event in warmer weather?

Hi, I’m sure your organization is aware of this. But, in case you did not know, here’s a link. https://thinkprogress.org/trump-gets-to-decide-where-in-dc-groups-can-protest-his-inauguration-if-at-all-13d9546edde0#.nuqgtt45y

My son and I are planning on taking the MJ bus down to DC for the inauguration. Please contact me with details. We would also like to march the next day in the Million Woman March. Thank you.

    Sincerely,

    Lisa Toth
