No Military Action in Syria! Sign the Petition!

Congress is currently debating whether or not to authorize military action in Syria. They need to hear from us now! On Thursday, Metro Justice will be delivering these petitions to Senators Schumer and Gillibrand. Schumer has already said that he is in support of military action and Gillibrand has said she is undecided. They need to hear our voices today!

The costs, both financial and human, to these sort of endeavors are always massive. When we are told there isn't enough money for education, health care, housing, or to rebuild our crumbling cities, why are billions suddenly available for war?

Tell your Senators that we don't need more US military interventions around the world, but a solid social safety net and an end to the poverty that kills people in the US every day.

We, the undersigned, oppose military intervention in Syria.

The International Community let by Russia has proposed a diplomatic solution which avoids war. Give it a chance and remember diplomacy doesn’t always work the first time around. Syria is no threat to the US. No war.

The president needs to draw a red line on our environmental emergency. Our time is running out. We will see more destructive weather and loss of life. We have spent 3 trillion to kill thousands of people in imperialist wars. Let us focus on the environment and on making the U.S an economic democracy.
