Fast-food Workers Strike for $15 Wages
Fast-food workers in Rochester, NY will walk off their jobs for the first time Thursday, joining a growing nationwide movement for $15 and the right to form a union without retaliation. Workers will strike at major national fast-food chains like McDonald’s, Burger King and Wendy’s as part of a 150-city walkout that hit all corners of the country, from Charleston, SC, to Chicago, Ill.
Workers standing up and demanding fair wages and a union is the primary way that communities have beaten poverty in the past. As the 3rd poorest city in the nation, it is vital that we support this worker movement and make sure that they win their demands.
Show your support! Join us Thursday!
If you can't make it to this gathering, there is another at 4:30pm! Check that out!
