Ever hold an event and wish there had been more people there? Part of a group that you really want to see grow, but it just doesn't seem to be growing? Met some enthusiastic people that you expected would get involved in a movement only to see them slowly drift away after a couple meetings? These experiences are common throughout many social movement organizations.
Given today's political climate, our movements have to grow and they have to grow intentionally. Metro Justice is excited to begin offering opportunities to support activists in our community learn the organizing skills necessary to manage growth in a meaningful way.
Join us in a training on movement-based recruitment. This training uses the Fight for 15 models of recruitment as a base for one-on-one recruitment conversations and follow-up. While the training itself will be specific to the Fight for 15, we know that the tools available can be applied to many different types of organizing. You can expect to walk away with a better sense of how to have initial recruitment conversations, how to motivate people to engage in action and take on leadership, and how to respond to concerns and counter-arguments in a productive way with those most directly impacted by the issues you're working on.
After you get your ticket for the training, you'll get a follow-up email with a registration form. Please fill that out immediately to help us make the training as positive as possible for you.
