Organize for Social Justice Internship

Founded in 1965, Metro Justice is Rochester’s leading grassroots, member-driven, progressive organization working for social and economic justice.  We are committed to community organizing that advances our multi-issue platform for economic justice.  We have opportunities for internships at a variety of levels of experience and knowledge.

Interns will work closely with program staff on any of our ongoing campaigns, which involves direct community organizing on the issues of quality jobs, housing, public education, health care, climate justice and more.   Work on these efforts will likely include campaign strategizing, research, membership recruitment and development, event planning and publicity, media outreach, social media communications, organization and facilitation of meetings, neighborhood canvassing, and support in non-profit management.

Interns should be eager to build movements for social justice and develop the skills necessary to build sustainable campaigns and non-profits.
