Ten years ago the highest court in New York ruled that the state must provide every child a sound basic education. This is called the Campaign for Fiscal Equity or CFE. Students of color overwhelmingly attend schools that have less resources, robbing them of a quality education. Billions in additional funding were promised, but Governor Cuomo and the Republican Controlled State Senate have failed to pay out $3.9 billion owed to our schools. To demand the billions of dollars owed advocates will be arriving in Albany after walking all the way from NYC. Let’s welcome them and help them deliver the bill to the governor’s office in Albany!
