I have been wishing for a gathering for a little light in the dark - a potluck, byob opportunity for leftist organizers and activists to talk informally over food and drink, sharing stories, ideas and contact information, gathering ourselves together for the work we will be doing, jointly and separately. We are going to need to be ready to amplify our voices with new action in the coming months. But before action we need strategy, and before strategy we need to get to know and trust each other, as well as how to get in touch with one another quickly at need. Please join us if you can! This first (I hope) social will be held at the Metro Justice office, due to the business of the season around town - be aware that it is not handicapped accessible, being up a flight of stairs. For future events we will secure a more accessible location. And for this one, we will maintain a "zoom table," a table that can accommodate both live people and anyone who wishes to join the festivity by zoom, for conversation.
