It's important to celebrate the achievements of the labor movement each year on labor day. For many, this involves a summer barbecue with a flavorful black bean burger or juicy bratwurst. This year, we invite you to celebrate with Metro Justice and the Campaign for New York Health before your barbecue! Line up will be at 8:30 AM at East Avenue & Alexander Street.
Join us in the Rochester Labor Day parade to spread awareness for the New York Health Act and push Congressman Morelle to cosponsor Medicare for All in the House. With the New York Health Act, we want to create a world in which everyone has the comprehensive, preventative and acute care they need regardless of immigration status, and without paying expensive premiums, co-pays, and deductibles. Your care decisions should be between you and your care provider, not decided by what your insurance will or will not cover for its own profit.
Health care is a human right, and you can help make that vision a reality this Labor Day.
