The Greater Rochester Enterprise tells News10NBC that Governor Cuomo will be in Rochester Thursday to discuss his 2014-2015 budget plan.

Community, labor and faith leaders came together to speak out against that budget, specifically, tax cuts included in it. The New York Inequality Campaign came together Wednesday to make their point. They say proposed tax cuts for the wealthy will mean budget cuts for the rest of New York.

They claim the governor's budget will reward the wealthy while students and education programs miss out.

Tom Gillette, NYSUT, said, "A budget that provides increased tax cuts to corporations and a select number of wealthy estate inheritors yet does nothing to reduce the drastic cuts in programs and services which students depend upon is a major failure.”

The governor’s office says the group’s claims are not true and the budget actually includes $807 million more in funding for education, bringing it to its highest levels in New York history.
