Have you heard the news?
We always pride ourselves on taking action, but this time Metro Justice is literally MOVING!
We are looking forward to making this move a symbol of our ability to improve conditions for everyone, and we (finally!) realized that our own self-image is a reflection of our serious investment in our vision and abilities - so we are focusing for the moment on lifting up our organization and creating a more viable and sustainable foundation under our feet.
We’ll continue to shake things up in our cleaner, brighter, more conveniently located office on West Avenue, where we’ll have parking, more accessibility (W.C. and otherwise) and an all-around improved new environment in which to do the important work we collectively do.
New Location!: (click for map): 801 West Avenue between Cairn and West
There’s even an elevator – to honor our upward momentum and to give us a boost so that all of our constituency has equal access to the heart of this organization.
Please join us THIS COMING WEEK and assist with this well-deserved transition.
- On Tuesday, July 29th, from noon-2pm and 3pm-7pm we need all the help we can get (members, friends, and family) to lead us in a caravan of our light cargo (<30lbs) to our new office. We need volunteers to help load but we also need volunteers to just drive from our old office to the new(no carrying!). Sign up here!
- On Wednesday, July 30th, from 10 am-1pm, we need 4-6 people for two light days of support (loose ends & tidying up the old office). Sign up here!
- On Thursday, July 31st, from 10 am to 1pm, we need 4-6 people for two light days of support (loose ends & tidying up the old office). Sign up here!
Sign up for whatever shift you are able, and tell a friend, a family member or a neighbor who has expressed interest in Metro Justice to take this time to celebrate a new chapter and be part of a change you can see.
Howard Zinn famously stated that you can’t be neutral on a moving train – we need everyone on board!
No doubt this move will mark a new chapter for Metro Justice, as we head towards a 50th Anniversary next year. Let’s do this move the way we’ve done everything over the years – together, as a community that cares.
