The holidays are a time for family, food, and maybe even a little bit of fun, so come get in the holiday spirit with your Rochester Campaign for New York Health family at our December Organizing Meeting on Monday, 12/12, at 6PM!
We will be holding a holiday potluck at the Metro Justice Office, located at 389 Gregory Street, Rochester, NY. We will also be dedicating time to reflect on our accomplishments this year and to discuss the goals we hope to meet in 2023.
Join us in celebrating another year of fighting together to make New York State a healthier, more equitable place to call home. Come as you are, and feel free to bring a friend or a treat to share! The more the merrier!
Will you come?

For some background: Metro Justice is a founding member of the Campaign for New York Health: a statewide movement to pass the New York Health Act so that we have universal, public health care in New York State. No more premiums; no more co-pays; no more deductibles. Health care is a human right.
Thanks to 6 years of organizing by everyday people across NYS, we reached a milestone towards victory in March 2021. The Campaign for New York Health and primary sponsors of the NY Health Act -- Assembly Member Richard Gottfried and Senator Gustavo Rivera -- introduced the NY Health Act with MAJORITY SUPPORT in BOTH the NYS Assembly and Senate for the first time ever.
We congratulate all of our members that kept us in the fight for the years it took to reach this milestone. We thank our entire local Democratic delegation to the NYS Legislature for listening to their constituents and co-sponsoring the NY Health Act, which has been a lynch-pin in this fight. We also know the fight for universal healthcare is far from over. We need to continue buildling power to make sure the NY Health Act comes to a vote and passes, and to ensure just implementation.
It is power of the people that got us here, and it will be the power of the people that push the NY Health Act over the finish line. Join us by attending our monthly organizing meeting! This is the heart of our efforts. After you RSVP, either our Organizing Director Mohini Sharma or a volunteer-leader will reach out to give you the information to join and onboard you 1on1.
