Please join us on Wednesday, May 25, at 5:00pm at School Without Walls for a press conference to celebrate all the hard work being done by the Community Task Force on Positive School Climate, the Alliance for Quality Education, Teen Empowerment, the Rochester Area Community Foundation, Metro Justice, RCSD Parent Advisory Council, Ghandi Institute for Nonviolence, Empire Justice Center, Partners in Restorative Initiatives, Hillside Family of Agencies, the Center for Youth, Greater Rochester After School Alliance, Rise Up Rochester Inc., IBERO, and many other organizations in support of transforming school climate in the Rochester City School District. 

This press conference will celebrate all the hard work being done to end the school-to-prison pipeline in Rochester by creating a positive school climate for every child. Right now Anti-Racism professional development training is already taking place, restorative circles are being used in 7 schools, and the new code of conduct is set to be passed by the end of June.

This press conference will also be a show of support for the RCSD Board of Education and district staff who must implement all the Community Task Force's recommendations. Together we can make every school a place where it is a joy to teach and to learn.
