Our biggest hurdle to passing this landmark health bill is that 75% of New Yorkers have never even heard of it - or heard only misinformation from its wealthy opponents. Dick Gottfried, who wrote the original bill and remains committed to its passage, will be joining us for a special training session on how to present the information to community groups. There will be further training available for how to do presentations, write letters of comment, and talk to friends and colleagues. But this is our chance to ask those niggling questions about how it works and why it's worth it. If you've been taking a break from healthcare work, this is the time to rejoin the fight!
