To win affordable, universal, and comprehensive public healthcare, we need to build power with our neighbors! Join us to talk with residents in Rochester about the NY Health Act, their experiences and needs when it comes to accessing care, and invite them to join us taking action to make healthcare a human right. With our reproductive rights also under attack, we need to ensure comprehensive healthcare access for all New Yorkers. 

The NY Health Act would guarantee healthcare for all, so that everyone can access whatever care they need without worrying about cost. In addition to primary and emergency care, the NY Health Act would cover mental health, vision, dental, and long-term care without having to pay expensive premiums, deductibles, copays, or other out of pocket costs because neither most insurance plans nor Medicaid cover it in full. People would also no longer be turned away from certain hospitals and providers because they don't take your insurance, nor denied procedures and medication because your insurance doesn't cover it. 

Everyone should have comprehensive healthcare without being worried about the cost. Join us for this canvass to learn more and build the grassroots momentum we need to win this!

We'll meet at the Metro Justice Community Room to start. Coffee, other beverages, and snacks will be provided! We'll begin with a short training, then head out in pairs to assigned turf. Please RSVP below so that we plan for enough food and materials for everyone!

- We're located at 1115 East Main Street, door #7 of the Hungerford Building. That's on the corner of East Main Street and North Goodman Street.

- A volunteer will be downstairs to greet you, and direct you towards the elevator or the stairs to get to the second floor.
