UPDATE: Zoom link to join our 5/17 workshop is here! (click link or banner to join)
After a successful first workshop, we're excited to announce a second Volunteer Engagement Workshop and New Member Orientation to be held on Sunday, May 17. Whether you're a longtime supporter, new member, or totally unfamiliar with our work this is your chance to get plugged in to what we do! We're happy to report great feedback from the last several workshops.
Member and community engagement in the work we do is essential in furthering the fight for a more equitable Rochester — so consider this an opportunity to learn about the 60-year history of the organization, our committee structures and needs, and to share your input on how we can make real change locally. But above all, we want this a space where we help you learn how best to get involved! Whether through writing or design work, grant writing and research, event planning, campaign leadership, or making fundraising calls, we'd love to have your support in the work we do over what is sure to be a pivotal year. As we work to build out an immigration campaign while furthering existing work on healthcare, elder justice, public power and more, we can use your input and support to drive this work.
This event will be hosted as a hybrid session (a link will be provided to all who RSVP). While in-person attendance is certainly encouraged, you're more than welcome to join in online. (We'll post and share a Zoom link the day before the event).
Please write George Elkind (at [email protected]) if you any questions about the event. We'll hope to see you there!
