For the last 3 months in Rochester, restaurant workers have banded together to combat sexual harassment in our restaurants as a part of the Fight for $15 and a Union.
After we march in the Labor Day parade, support workers as they kick off their anti-sexual harassment campaign for our restaurants! This will be an open mic for restaurant workers to share their experiences with sexual harassment at work. Workers will also be celebrating campaign successes so far, and expressing campaign goals for the upcoming months!
Restaurant workers in Rochester have had enough. The expectation that they accept unwanted explicit comments, explicit questions, touching, grabbing, cornering, flirting, and even stalking as a part of their jobs is unacceptable. Workers' bravery in speaking out and their commitment to joining their co-workers and employers in solving this issue deserves the community's solidarity! Join us in Village Gate to show Rochester will not accept sexual harassment as a standard in our restaurants!
No sexual harassment in our restaurants!
