Come share a meal with local volunteers fighting for universal healthcare in New York to learn how you can win comprehensive healthcare for you, your loved ones, and your community.
As a part of the statewide Campaign for NY Health, we're building a mass movement to push the New York legislature to pass the NY Health Act so we can all have affordable health care for all services. The NY Health Act would expand past existing public healthcare programs like Medicaid and Medicare, so that everyone can access whatever care they need without worrying about cost. In addition to primary and emergency care, the NY Health Act would cover mental health, vision, dental, and long-term care without having to pay expensive premiums, deductibles, copays, or other out of pocket costs because neither most insurance plans nor Medicaid cover it in full.
Your voice is especially important to winning healthcare for all, and you can make a difference by taking action.
We’re holding this a teach-in to bring people together, learn more about how the NY Health Act can improve your healthcare access, and how you can take action. The teach-in is on Wednesday, March 16th from 6 to 7:15 PM with dinner, and childcare provided upon request.
The location is at the our Metro Justice office, 1115 East Main Street, door#7 of the Hungerford Building, suite 207A. A volunteer will greet you at the door to help you find our office! If you need help with transportation, please contact Mohini Sharma at [email protected] or 585-397-3534 at least 3 days in advance, and we will help figure out a way to get you here!
Please RSVP below; the RSVP is required so that we can plan food and COVID safety measures accordingly.
Let's move forward together!
