March with Metro Justice at the Rochester Pride Parade! This year, we'll be marching with our Rochester for Energy Democracy (RED) and Rochester for NY Health Campaigns.
Our RED Campaign is a grassroots movement to takeover RG&E and turn it into a public, community-controlled utility that is affordable, accountable to ratepayers, invests ratepayer dollars locally, and makes a rapid and equitable transition to green energy. Rochester for NY Health is the local chapter of the Campaign for NY Health: a statewide coalition fighting to win the NY Health Act for public, universal, and affordable healthcare for all New Yorkers.
Debt on expensive utility bills is a leading cause of homelessness that also exacerbates homelessness in the queer community. Skyrocketing healthcare costs also prevent queer people from accessing healthcare that is critical to their mental and physical wellbeing.
Join us to celebrate our LGBTQUIA+ community, and continue the fight for liberation by taking our energy and healthcare back from predatory and parasitic profiteers!
