Join us for a potluck and then flyering for Rochester for Energy Democracy (RED)!
RED is our campaign to takeover Rochester Gas & Electric and turn it into a public, not-for-profit, local, and community-controlled utility in the Rochester and Monroe County area. Our County and City governments need to take the first step by funding and commissioning an implementation study in partnership with Metro Justice by the end of this spring. For this event, relax and enjoy the outdoors with members of your community as we spread the word about public power and why our politicians should support it. Our fight for public power and lower rates is stronger when we build community with each other while taking meaningful action towards victory.
The potluck and flyering will take place on April 22nd, 2023 starting at 12 PM near the Hawk Shelter at Seneca Park. Afterwards, we will put flyers in the districts of County Legislator Dave Long and County Legislator Maria Vecchio. We may not have use of the shelters so please bring outdoor chairs and picnic blankets!
Will you join us in starting off spring by continuing the fight for a more affordable and reliable public utility? Please RSVP below!
