The state legislature is holding a hearing on "Workforce Development". Raising the minimum wage is going to come up along with paid family leave.
We're not going to let politicians and business people just talk to each other - we're going to make sure there is a worker voice heard loud and clear!
Between now and the budget coming out, we intend to constantly make Albany grapple with raising the minimum wage to $15/hr. There will be grassroots demonstrations in Albany and throughout the state consistently that will culminate in a massive demonstration in Albany on March 15th!
