4/26/25 URGENT ACTION NEEDED! We need, right now, to email our legislators to ask them to include the NYHA as a priority in their end of session priorities (which is due to leadership in this week). The statewide Campaign for New York Health has crafted a letter (read it here) that asks for this, and created a resist.bot that will automatically find your Senate and Assembly member and send the message either as an email (free) or print it out and mail it as a postal letter to each one ($4 charge to the service, but printed letters are especially effective).
All you need to do is text PBOOVJ to 50409 on a cell phone, then follow the directions in texts you will receive to give your address (to find your legislators) and choose email or postal letter as the means of contact (then pay the resist.bot service if you are sending letters). It takes 2-3 minutes, and is the single most effective thing you can do!

The NEW YORK HEALTH ACT is a bill in the state legislature (read it here) that would guarantee to every New York resident:
It would replace our swamp of profiteering insurance with a single payer, cutting out corporate profits and administrative costs so that the overall bill for medical care statewide would be $11 billion cheaper per year than it is now. |
